About Us

one-world university is a community of contemplatives dedicated to non-dual understanding that affirms the unity of all beings. That is to say, we stand for a world without borders through Unitive Understanding. With Unity as the basic and constant reference, we envision the integration of all aspects of knowledge or life, be they educational, economical or personal. We systematically consider questions like ‘What is Knowledge’ or ‘What is the purpose of Knowing?’ or ‘What do we mean by Meaning, Value?’ before indulging in the relative, utilitarian aspects of knowledge or living. The answers must be relevant and integrative of all fields of knowledge, as the Knowledge of all knowledge or the Meaning of all meanings. Such principal understanding about life remains relevant across time-space; they belong to the order of things which need not be invented by each and every generation. And that fact, at once, points to the importance of attending to the perennial teachings of those wise ones who practiced a unitive approach. Among them are two of the greatest recent exponents of unitive wisdom: Narayana Guru (1856-1928) and his disciple-successor Nataraja Guru (1895-1973), the major sources of our inspiration and learning. The courses on Unitive Philosophy which we offer at One-World University seeks to integrate the songs of wisdom sung by such poet-seers.

We fully acknowledge the importance of understanding wisdom in living terms, and therefore are presently developing a community space in Wayanad, Kerala. അറിവിന്റെ എല്ലാ തലങ്ങളെയും, അവ ദര്‍ശനങ്ങളാകട്ടെ സാമൂഹ്യശാസ്ത്രവിഷയങ്ങളാകട്ടെ ആധുനികശാസ്ത്രമാകട്ടെ, വസ്തുനിഷ്ഠമായ ചില പൊതുമാനദണ്ഡങ്ങളുടെയും മൂല്യപരിഗണനകളുടെയും അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ എങ്ങനെ സമന്വയിക്കാമെന്നതാണ് 'ഏകലോകസര്‍വ്വകലാശാല'യെന്ന കൂട്ടായ്മയുടെ മുഖ്യപഠനവിഷയം. എന്താണ് അറിവ്? എന്തിനാണ് അറിവ്? എന്താണ് മൂല്യം? തുടങ്ങിയവയെകുറിച്ചുള്ള ഒരാളുടെ മനസ്സിലാക്കലും, അയാളും അപരനും തമ്മിലുള്ള പാരസ്പര്യവും, എങ്ങനെയെല്ലാം ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും സര്‍വ്വകലാശാല പഠിക്കുന്നു. പ്രധാനമായും, നാരായണഗുരുവിന്റെയും നടരാജഗുരുവിന്റെയും ദര്‍ശനത്തെ ആധാരമാക്കുന്നതാണ് സര്‍വ്വകലാശാലയുടെ ജ്ഞാനസമീപനം.

ജ്ഞാനദര്‍ശനത്തിനുള്ള സുപ്രധാന ഉപാധിയായും, ഉണ്മയുടെ(Being)തന്നെ ആത്മാവിഷ്കാരമായും, ചലനകലകളെ (movement arts) പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് നൃത്തത്തെ കൂട്ടായ്മ പരിഗണിക്കുന്നു.
